Today’s passage is from the Epistle to the Romans:
Bible Passage: Romans 5 – 6
Today’s reading has so many wonderful encouragement and grace that I just do not know where to begin.
And instead of writing so much for you to read, why not spend more time reading this passage and highlighting those verses you like.
One message that I do feel important to highlight is found in Romans 5:1-5.
Some Christians have very little faith in the love of Christ and equate their well being in the world as whether they have the grace of God.
When they are in trouble, they figure that they must have fallen from God’s grace because of the pain they face. Yet Paul shows that God even uses these pain for our good.
Rom 5:3 – 5
“And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. and perseverance, character; and character, hope”
Problems will come. But that does not mean that God has stopped loving you and that you have somehow lost His grace.
In fact, the opposite is true. God allows you to face these sufferings so that you will learn to persevere, so they you will develop His character, and so that you will discover hope.
Because God loves us so much, He wants us to experience His life more abundantly. So instead of doubthing God’s love because of your troubles… rejoice in them.
As 1 Peter 4:12 – 13 admonishes, ‘“Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy.”
